A medical doctor and social commentator, Dr Philip Njemanze has painted a gloomy picture of the economy of Imo State in the aftermath of the urban renewal program of Gov Rochas Okorocha saying the program devastated the economy of the state.
Dr Njemanze who made this startling revelation in a document he released recently in Owerri estimated that the economy of the state shrunk drastically because of the loss of whopping N3.5trillion as a result of the renewal program.
According to him that colossal loss resulted to an equally disturbing scenario of loss of staggering 25 thousand jobs adding this huge losses reduced the state’s Gross Domestic Product GDP by at least 30%
Dr Njemanze who captioned the document the ten mortal sins of Rochas Administration- why the church admonishes further stressed that the listed sins are those that violate the ten commandments of God.
In this vein, the nonpayment of pensions of senior citizens despite appeals by the church and government allegedly wishing them death was also listed among his sins.
Continuing, he opined that the government also publicly lied and swore falsely in the assertion it made on Thursday March 8 2018 edition of the Nation newspaper alleging that it has paid N400million to the Catholic School management.
According to the medical Doctor Who wrote under the platform of The Association of Catholic Medical Practitioners of Nigeria(ACMPN) pointed out that he listed the ten sins during this Lenten season because they need atonement.
